Obituary of Arlene Catherine Suedbeck

Arlene C. Suedbeck (nee Magnus), of Waukesha, passed away at Lindon Grove on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at the age of 86. She was born in Avoca, MN on November 11, 1931 to Adolph and Mollie Magnus. For 16 years, Arlene worked as a bookkeeper for the Watertown School District. Arlene was a longtime member at St. William Catholic Church. She was an avid quilter and created many quilts for the Ronald McDonald Club. Arlene was an active supporter of her community and participated in the Daughters of American Revolution, Prairieville Quilters, Waukesha Historical Society, the Patched Lives Quilt Guild and the Red Hat Society.

Arlene will be deeply missed by her children, Connie (Mike) Van Wagenen, Cindy (Marc) Holma, Cathy (Linda Goeman) Suedbeck, and Joe Suedbeck; grandchildren, Jennifer, Nick, and Jacob; step-grandchildren, Tammy and David; brothers, Henry (Marlene) Magnus and Donald (Darlene) Magnus; sisters, Carol Eacker and Fern (Dean) Strandskov; brother-in-law, Bill Sandefur. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, and friends. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Archie; sister, Elaine Sandefur; and brother-in-law, Russ Eacker.

The first visitation for Arlene will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha, WI 53188. A second visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m. funeral mass at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha, WI 53188. Inurnment will take place privately at Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Alzheimer’s Association, 620 S 76th St #160, Milwaukee, WI 53214.
