Obituary of Rebecca Madson Leach

Rebecca Madson Leach, age 48, died peacefully at home on May 2, 2018 surrounded by her family. Rebecca was a breast cancer survivor but lost her life to Glioblastoma. Rebecca was devoted to her son Aidan and loving husband Chuck who took constant care of her in her last months at home. Rebecca had a true zest for life and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, dancing, camping, painting, gardening, traveling and so much more. She was a friend to so many people – generous in spirit and compassionate to all. Rebecca was a graduate of Bayport High School, UW-Stevens Point and the Institute of Beauty and Wellness, Milwaukee. She most recently worked at Salon Brillare, Waukesha, who showed her tremendous support during her illness through acts of kindness and fundraising.In addition to her husband and son, Rebecca is survived by her step-children Amanda, Michaela and Jacob; parents Steven and Joann (LeBrun) Madson; sister Julie (Jason) Sebranek and their children, Phoebe, Godson Evan, and Joey; brother Michael (Breah) Madson and their children Evelyn, James and Godson John; and brothers-in-law Mark Leach and Brian (Lori) Leach and their children Daniel and Rachel.  Rebecca was also very close to an extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law Doreen Leach. Rebecca’s family is grateful for the care provided to her by Dr. Hendrikus Krouwer and his team at Pro Healthcare Wisconsin and Duke University’s Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center. A Celebration of Life will be held rain or shine on Saturday May 19, 2018, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Hoyt Park, Picnic Area 4 in Wauwatosa. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family or Aidan’s education fund. Those donations can be mailed to 801 Westowne Ave. Waukesha, WI 53188.
