Obituary of Robert Henke

Robert "Bob " Henke Of Waukesha, passed away suddenly on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the age of 80 years. He was born in Northern Wisconsin, the son of Ermon and Irma Henke. Bob married the love of his life Carol J. Hildebran on August 25, 1951. He worked at Bundy Construction, retiring in 2000. Bob was a member of Laborers Union 113 and Operating Engineers local 139. He later drove cars for the local Wilde Auto Dealer in town. He also liked to go to the casinos. His true passion was being a musician, Bob played guitar in the band The Country Travelers until 1982. His love of music was passed on to his grandchildren. Bob will be sadly missed by his wife, Carol of 60 years; daughter, Sandy (Ed) Grosh of Waukesha; grandchildren, Eric (Leah) Grosh of Seattle, WA and Chris Grosh of Waukesha; sister, Karen Wood of Gillett, WI; sisters-in-law, Cathy Henke of Medford, WI, Barb (Dave) Smith of Waukesha, WI and Joanne Hildebran of Waukesha, WI. Bob is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by brothers, Charlie and Malin Henke; brothers- in-law and sisters-in-law. The visitation for Bob will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. until the 7:00 p.m. funeral service at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. The entombment will take place on Friday, February 17, at 9:00 a.m. at Prairie Home Cemetery, 605 S. Prairie Ave. Waukesha, WI 53187. (Please meet at the cemetery by 8:45 a.m., at the office). Memorials to a charity of your choice appreciated.
