Obituary of Roland W. Fine

Roland W. Fine Of Waukesha, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at the age of 90 years. He was born on February 22, 1921, in Nanticoke, PA, the son of Kirtland and Laura Fine. Roland was a proud United States Army Veteran, serving in both World War II and The Korean Conflict. He married the love of his life, Mildred (Robb), on June 16, 1943. He was a member of the Waukesha Masonic Lodge #37 for 50 years. An active member of the First Congregational Church of Waukesha, Roland and Mildred loved to travel, enjoying all the covered bridges along the way. He was an avid railroad enthusiast and enjoyed painting and making stained glass. Most of all, Roland was dedicated to spending time with his family. Roland will be sadly missed by his wife, Mildred, of 68 years; his children, James (Cheryl) Fine of Menomonie, WI, Alan (Susan) Fine of Delafield, WI and Roy Fine of Neenah, WI. He is further survived by grandchildren, Brendan (Chris) Fine, Colin (Becki) Fine, Jessica (Andrew) Walter, Mark (Elizabeth) Fine, Michelle Fine, John Fine and Tom Fine; great-grandchildren, Kieran, Michael, Abram, Owen, and Carter; brother Quentin Fine of Waukesha, WI. The visitation for Roland will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Masonic Service, the Funeral Service will immediately follow, on Monday, January, 30, 2012 at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. The entombment will take place at Prairie Home Cemetery with military honors, immediately following the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Roland's name appreciated to the First Congregational Church, 100 E. Broadway, Waukesha, WI 53186. The family would like to give a special thank you and appreciation to the staff at, Avalon Square and Three Pillars Masonic Health Care Center for the great care they gave to Roland.
