Obituary of Willis E. Schiller

Willis E. Schiller Of Waukesha, passed away peacefully at his home while surrounded by his loving family on Friday, March 30, 2012 at the age of 83 years. He was born on March 1, 1929, in Pittsville, WI, the son of Max and Elsie (Werth) Schiller. Willis married Nancy Spicuzza on June, 28, 1996. He was a longtime member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church. He retired from Waukesha Engine as a machinist. Willis was a member of the Waukesha Elk's Lodge 400. He volunteered at the Waukesha Humane Society, enjoyed bowling, golf, travel, gardening and the great outdoors. Most of all Willis enjoyed spending time with his family. Willis will be sadly missed by his wife, Nancy Spicuzza, of 16 years; children, Jean (Tim) Schneider of Brookfield, Carol (Steve Ripp) Spicuzza of Janesville, WI, James (Pat) Spicuzza of Mt. Vernon, IL, Michael (Liz Kepplinger) Spicuzza of Oregon, WI and John (Carol Lee) Spicuzza of Spring Grove, IL; grandchildren, Matthew (Ellen) Schneider, Katie, Laura, David, Frank Nicholas and Jacob Spicuzza, Sam and Ellie Horsnel; brothers, Ronald Schiller of Montello, WI, Marvin (Doris) Schiller of Waukesha, WI; sisters, Evelyn Walker of Bakersfield, CA, Dorothy (Ron) Taylor of Vesper, WI and Velma Gleisner of Arpin, WI; sister-in-laws, Chloe Schiller, Jean Schiller, Lily Orth, and Gail Sheets. Willis is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Gladys Hunkins; brothers, Carl, Gordon and Otto Schiller; sisters, Esther Yoss, Elsie Yoss and Frieda Truchinski. The visitation for Willis will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the 6:30 p.m. Lodge of Sorrow service on Tuesday, (TODAY), April 3, 2012 at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. A second visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Wednesday, April 4, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 300 Carroll St., Waukesha, WI 53186. The Rev. Kathy Boadwine will be officiating. Entombment will immediately follow at Prairie Home Cemetery. Memorials in Willis's name appreciated to Waukesha Elks Lodge 400, 2301 Springdale Rd., Waukesha, WI 53186 or a charity of your choice. The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Gilberto Rodrigues, The Home Hospice staff, Visiting Angels and the Oncology North nurses at Waukesha Memorial Hospital for their wonderful care of Willis.
