Obituary of Kathyrn Josephine Waschow

Kathryn Josephine Waschow Of Waukesha, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2012 at Waukesha Springs Health Care Center at the age of 91 years. Kathryn was born in New Berlin on February 27, 1921, the daughter of Ernest and Susan (nee Stephens) Pagel. She was married to the late "Captain Bill" William Waschow. She was a member of St. William Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers and the American Legion Auxiliary in Horicon. Kathryn worked for many years as a beautician at Virginia Health and Rehabilitation Center. She loved her family, friends, bingo and a good card game. Kathryn will be deeply missed by her daughter, Chris Zukovich Waschow (husband, Tom Zukovich), her nephews and nieces, Bill, Judy, Jerry, Nancy, Bob, Mike, Debbie Wolfe, Trish (Ron) Bizeau, Ron, Diane, Doug, Rodger Pagel, Ernie (Karen) Macke and other family and friends. Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, "Captain Bill" William, son Patrick, her parents and her sisters, Marie, Evelyn and her brother, Nick. The visitation for Kathryn will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha. Rev. Kevin Barnekow will officiate. Interment will immediately follow the mass at Holy Apostles Catholic Cemetery, New Berlin. A very special thanks to the staff of Waukesha Springs for the wonderful care they gave Kathryn the last few years.
