Obituary of Michael John LaFratta

Michael John LaFratta Of Waukesha, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loving family at LindenGrove of New Berlin on Monday, April 16, 2012 at the age of 91 years. Michael was born in Waukesha on August 17, 1920, the son of John and Bernice (nee Manzo) LaFratta. Michael was a proud World War II veteran of the United States Army. Michael will be dearly missed by his wife, Edith M. (nee Vetta) LaFratta; his son, Michael G. LaFratta; his daughter, Patricia (Brian) Gunn; his granddaughter, Rebecca (nee Gunn) (Kevin) Mueller; his special relatives and friends, Marilyn Saulino, Maxine (the late Albert) LaFratta, Barbara (Joseph) Balser and their children; Josephine (the late Carl) Salerno, Frank Pedone family, John (the late Terry) Vetta, Norelli family; he is further survived by his in-laws, Violet Tinnes, Mary LaFratta, Karen Vetta, Anthony (Lynn) Vetta, Felix Vetta, Simone (Vernell) Vitale; and other family and friends. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, John & Bernice LaFratta; his siblings, Charles (Carrie) Saulino, Angelo Julius LaFratta, Anthony LaFratta, Peter (Jean) LaFratta, Johanna Vitale, Anita (Robert) Beitz, Stella (James) Salerno; his special relatives and friends, Antoinette Salerno and Bernice Joselyn, Mamie (Tony) Spadanuda, Reno family, John (Minnie) Vetta, James Vetta, Mario Vetta, Corey Vetta, Agnes Murl LaFratta; and other relatives and friends. A visitation for Michael will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Ave. Waukesha, WI 53186. Burial and full military honors will immediately follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Waukesha. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated in Michael's name to the Carmelite Nuns, W267 N2517 Carmelite Road, Pewaukee, WI 53072-4528.
