Obituary of Earl Brauch

Earl Brauch Of Waukesha, passed away peacefully at his home while surrounded by his family on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at the age of 88 years. Earl was born in the Town of Vernon on October 19, 1923, the son of William and Carrie (nee Halaska) Brauch. He married the love of his life, Mary (nee Smart), on October 16, 1948. Earl was an active member of the Evangelical and Reformed United Church of Christ in Waukesha for over 48 years and serving The Lord was his passion. He was involved in all aspects of the church, even teaching Sunday School. Earl worked for over 42 years at Allis-Chalmers as a Production Control Supervisor. He was a dedicated volunteer and member of the Gideons International, the 4-H Club and the Salvation Army. He was a wonderful dancer and especially loved Polka dancing. Earl was an avid sports fan and loved any Wisconsin team. He will be remembered for his quick wit and his sense of humor. More than anything, Earl loved his family and spending time with them. Earl will be dearly missed by his wife, Mary; his children, Linda (Dan) McKnight of Reno, Nevada, Calvin Brauch of Waukesha, Wisconsin and Scott (Lisa Krueger) Brauch of Waukesha, Wisconsin; his ten grandchildren; his seventeen great- grandchildren; his sister, Ivy Jacobson of Waterford, Wisconsin; and many other family and friends. Earl was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Roy Brauch, Bill Brauch and Melvin Brauch; and his sister, Madeline Foat. A visitation for Earl will be from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Sunday, July 22, 2012 at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. A second visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM Funeral Service on Monday, July 23, 2012 at the funeral home. The Reverend Ralph Schultz will officiate the service. The interment for Earl will immediately follow the service at Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha.
