Obituary of Ruth V. Kiphart

Of Waukesha, passed away peacefully at Seasons Hospice on Friday, August 17, 2012 at the age of 93 years. Ruth was born in Waukesha on September 19, 1918, the daughter of Thornton and Ida (nee Frost) Kiphart. She was an ordained Deaconess and served throughout her years at the Metropolitan Church Association (MCA) until her retirement in 1985. Ruth also shared her love for God with others through her Deaconess work in Philadelphia, Illinois, New York and Ohio. She was a very godly woman who happily shared her love of God with everyone she encountered. Ruth was an avid birdwatcher, she loved to feed the chipmunks outdoors and she had a passion for traveling. She will be forever remembered for her spunk, her sweetness and her ever strong faith. More than anything, Ruth enjoyed spending time with her family and her sister. Ruth will be dearly missed by her sister, Martha Pettengell of Waukesha; her wonderful nieces and nephews; and many other family and friends. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Thornton Sr. and Ida; her brothers, George, Paul, Clarence, Happy, Thornton Jr. and Frank; and her sister, Lillian Leber. A visitation for Ruth will be from 9:00 AM until the 11:00 AM funeral service on Friday, August 24, 2012 at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. The Reverend Gary Bowell will officiate the service. The burial for Ruth will immediately follow the service at Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha.
