Obituary of Richard Schouten
Richard "Dick" Schouten, of Waukesha, died on Friday, August 10, 2012, at the age of 59. Dick was born in Milwaukee, on August 30, 1952, son of Frank and Jane Schouten. He received his undergraduate degree in history from U.W. Madison. Dick continued his education and received his Juris Doctor degree from John Marshall Law School in Chicago. Dick practiced law in both Chicago, IL and Waukesha, WI. He was an incredible history buff, who collected WWII, Korean War, and early American history memorabilia. As a child he was active in scouting, achieving the rank of Eagle. Dick enjoyed listening to a wide range of music, reading history books, and spending time with his many friends and dogs.
Dick will be dearly missed by his parents, Frank and Jane (nee Becher) Schouten; brothers, Jeff (Susan) Schouten and Bill Schouten; niece, Kristin Schouten; and nephew, Mike Schouten. Dick is further survived by other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his four-legged friend, his Rottweiler rescue dog, Bear.
The memorial visitation for Dick will be held from 4:00 PM until the time of the 6:00 PM memorial service on Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188.
