Obituary of Russell A. Wolfe

Of Brookfield, passed away at Care-Age of Brookfield on the morning of September 18, 2012 at the age of 85 years. Russ was born in Milwaukee, WI on March 31, 1927, the son of Russell F. Wolfe, Sr. and Josephine (nee Edelbeck) Wolfe. He married the love of his life, Mary (nee Holzem) on October 9, 1948. After retirement from A.O. Smith as a Safety Engineer, he and Mary moved to Wausaukee where they resided for over 20 years. Russ enjoyed gardening, fishing and being outdoors. He was a model of Christ's teaching, loving anyone who would cross his path. More than anything, Russ loved his family and spending time with them. Russell will be dearly missed by his wife of over 63 years, Mary; his children, Dennis (Janice) Wolfe of Baraboo, Greg (Kathy) Wolfe of Waukesha and David (Anne) Wolfe of Brookfield; his grandchildren, Steven, Scott (Miranda), Jim (Chris Middle), Joe (Christie), Mike, Cassie, Leah, Becky and Abbie; his 3 great-grandchildren; his brother, Ralph (Carol); his sister-in-laws, Dolores Wolfe, Patricia Wolfe, Lorraine (Fred) Mertens and Janet Holzem; and many other family and friends. Russ was preceded in death by his grandson, Brian Wolfe; his brothers, Robert and Roland; and his parents. A visitation for Russell will be from 11:00 AM until the 1:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, September 21, 2012 at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. The Reverend Curt Frederick will officiate the Mass. The burial for Russ will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Wausaukee. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated by the family to St. Vincent de Paul Society of Wausaukee or as memorial masses in Russ's name. Russ's family would like to thank the amazing staff at Care-Age of Brookfield for their wonderful care of Russ throughout his time with them.
