Obituary of Alexander Menzies

Of Waukesha, formally of Bells Hill, Scotland passed away on Sunday, September, 16, 2012 at the age of 78 years. He was a piper in the Scottish Regiment of the British Army. Sandy married Jean, the love of his life on March 20, 1959. Sandy and Jean came to the United States in 1965 from Scotland; he became a U.S. citizen in 2002. Sandy was an avid golfer, golfing at many golf courses around the country. He played soccer on the Milwaukee Bavarian Team and was a Brewers and Packers Fan. Sandy will be sadly missed by his wife, Jean of 53 years; nieces, Ann Petty of RI, Wilma Gallacher of Scotland; step-brother, Billy Howson of Scotland; aunt, Annie Menzies of Scotland; cousins, Mary Morgan of Wales, Alex Mcgown of Scotland; sisters-in-law, Catherine (Jim) Shanks, Myra (Robert) Waite of Scotland. Sandy is further survived by other nieces, nephews in Scotland and many friends. The visitation for Sandy will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. memorial service on Friday, September 21, 2012 at the Salvation Army, 445 Madison St. Waukesha, WI 53188. The Major Ron and Carol Lemirand will be officiating. Private burial will take place. In lieu of flowers memorials to the Salvation Army appreciated (see address above).
