Obituary of Robert Schossow

Of Dousman, died on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 87 years. Robert was born on September 7, 1925 in Algoma, WI the son of Adolf and Minnie (Lassen) Schossow. Bob proudly served in WWII and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy. Bob worked as a parts manager for Ray Hudson Chevrolet and the Gerlach Co. for many years. He was also an active member of Bethlehem Ev. Lutheran Church . Bob will be deeply missed by his children, Gary and Beckie of La Crosse, WI; his step-children, Michael (Sandra) Huebner of Waukesha, Gary (Carla) Huebner of NE and Barbara (Warren) Griffin of Dousman; his grandchildren and great grandchildren; Further survived by cousins, other relatives and friends. The Burns family is deserving of great appreciation and recognition since they have always made Bob a part of their family. Bob is preceded in death by his first wife, Lorna of 1983 and second wife, Darlene in 2001. The first visitation for Bob will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. until the 4:00 p.m. funeral service at Bethlehem Ev. Lutheran Church, 470 Oak Crest Drive, Wales, WI 53183. The Rev. Allen Behnke officiating. There will be a second visitation held on Saturday, September 29, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service held at St. Martin's Lutheran Church, 328 E. Broadway St., Winona, MN 55987 with burial following immediately at Woodlawn Cemetery in Winona, MN with full military honors. Rev. Richard A. Moore will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Bethlehem Ev. Lutheran Church (see address above) or St. Martin's Lutheran School (see the church address above).
