Obituary of Bernice L. Kiciak

Of Waukesha, passed away peacefully at Care-Age of Brookfield on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at the age of 88 years. Bernice was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 23, 1924, the daughter of Anthony and Anna (nee Jarmusz) Jozwiak. She married Chester Joseph Kiciak on October 6, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois. Bernice was a former member of St. James Catholic Church of Mukwonago, Wisconsin and of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Woodstock, Illinois. She was a woman of great talent and was an excellent knitter. Bernice was also known for her wonderful cooking. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family. Bernice will be dearly missed by her children, Paul A. (Kathy) Kiciak of Boca Raton, Florida and Joseph A. (Andria) Kiciak of Waukesha, Wisconsin; her granddaughters, Dr. Jennifer E. (Aaron) Kuhl of Longmont, Colorado and Jessica A. (Michael) Breur of St. Paul, Minnesota; her great-grandchildren, Nora Kuhl, Tessa Kuhl and baby Breur who is due in January; her sister, Martha Mikus of Park Ridge, Illinois; her sister-in-law, Wanda Jozwiak of St. Petersberg, Florida; her good friend, Dorothy Sweeney of Mukwonago, Wisconsin; and other nieces and nephews. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Chester Joseph Kiciak; her sisters, Sophie Jablonski and Tessie Streich; her brother, Edward Jozwiak; and several nieces and nephews. A visitation for Bernice will be from 9:30 AM until the 11:30 AM Prayer Service on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. There will be a private inurnment at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Waukesha, Wisconsin. The family would like to thank all the compassionate staff at Care-Age of Brookfield and Dr. Gerald Berman for the excellent care they gave Bernice throughout her time with them.
