Obituary of Joan Barbara Rahfaldt

Joan Barbara Rahfaldt, of Waukesha, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2012 peacefully at the age of 84 years. She was born on August 13, 1928 in Milwaukee, WI the daughter of Paul and Helen (Wallner) Wallschlaeger. Joan was an alumnus of Girls Tech. She was an avid member of the Seasons of Life Bible Study group and Christ the Victor WELCA women's group. Joan also enjoyed sewing and reading. Joan will be sadly missed by her children, Douglas (Yang Sun) Rahfaldt of San Antonio, TX, Gail Etheredge of Tomball, TX, William Rahfaldt of Antigo, WI, and Christine (Gary) Suhfras of Waukesha, WI; grandchildren, Barbara (Keith) Foxton, Butch Rahfaldt, Christopher Etheredge, Matthew Etheredge, Heidi (Brock) Sutton, and Leanne Suhfras; and great-grandchildren, Brayden Foxton, Evan Foxton, Kaleb Foxton, and Ryley Sutton. Joan is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Merle Rahfaldt; brothers Leonard and Roger; and sister, Carole. The visitation for Joan will be Sunday, December 16, 2012 from 1:00 PM until the 2:00 PM funeral service at Elmbrook Church, 777 South Barker Rd., Brookfield, WI 53045. The Reverend Roselyn Staple will officiate the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Missions Program at Elmbrook Church (see address above) or the Salvation Army, 445 Madison Street, Waukesha, WI 53186.
