Obituary of Dennis D. Scherf

Dennis D. "Denny" Scherf, of Waukesha, passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at the age of 59 years. He was born on November 23, 1953, in Waukesha, the son of Edward and Delores (nee Nuss). Denny worked at Cooper Power Systems for over 30 years. He was a past member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, and belonged to the Eagles Club of Waukesha. He enjoyed bowling and was an avid sports fan, watching all the Packers, Brewers and NASCAR. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. Denny will be sadly missed by his son, Craig Allen Scherf; parents, Edward and Delores; siblings, Cindy Stark, Mark (Debi) Scherf and Denise (Steve)Plate; granddaughter, Jaiden Scherf; step-granddaughter, Alexandra Scherf; and Denny's fond companion, "Cleo." He is further survived by many other family members and friends. The visitation will be held on Monday, February 25, from 4:00 p.m. until the 7:00 p.m. funeral service at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1052 White Rock Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186. The Rev. Larry Gates will be officiating. The burial will take place privately at Prairie Home Cemetery.
