Obituary of Oscar Korslin

Oscar Korslin, of Waukesha, passed away on Monday, February 11, 2013 at the age of 88. He was born on September 3, 1924 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI, the son of Oscar and Ella (nee Schlenvogt) Korslin. Oscar proudly served for and was a veteran of the Army Air Corps. He worked for the AC Delco division of General Motors for many years, highlighted by his work on the Apollo Project, before ultimately retiring from MATC. Oscar was a member of Evangelical & Reformed United Church of Christ. He was an avid golfer and traveler. Oscar's greatest joy, however, was spending time with his family and friends. Oscar will be deeply missed by his children, Linda Ruthenberg and Tom (Patricia) Korslin; grandchildren Matthew Ruthenberg, Kathryn (Michael) Kennedy, Margaret (Bradley) Tindal, and Stephen Korslin; Great-grandchild, Natalie Tindal; brother, Harold (Nancy) Korslin; sister-in-law, Eileen Klupper; as well as many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Evelyn, his parents, his brother, Robert Korslin, and sisters, Emma Pierce and Dorothy Helland. The visitation for Oscar will be held on Friday, February 15, 2013 from 3:00 PM until the 5:00 PM funeral service at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. The Rev. Ralph Schultz officiating.
