Obituary of James A. Robertson

James A. "Jim" Robertson, of Waukesha, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 17, 2013, at his home at the age of 83. Jim was born in Manitowoc, WI on September 10, 1929, the son of Lawrence and Laura (nee Wollensak) Robertson. He married the love of his life, Beverly "Bev" Kadrich, on November 10, 1956. Jim was a dedicated member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Waukesha for over 55 years. Having started out as a stock boy at Ridge Motor Parts in Waukesha, Jim later became the owner, and continued his dedicated work until his retirement in 1995, after 51 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, reading, researching genealogy and spending time in the Northwoods at the cottage in Three Lakes, WI. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Jim proudly served his country and was honorably discharged as a Second Lieutenant (Quartermaster Corps) from the United States Army. Jim will be dearly missed by his children, Anne Robertson of Cudahy, WI, Mary (John) Ponasik of Antigo, WI, Sarah (Steven) Kowalski of Cornell, MI, Steven (Ann) Robertson of Verona, WI and Amy (Carl Marshall) Robertson-Marshall of Hendersonville, TN; his grandchildren, Noelle, Zachary, Molly, Jordan, Morgan, Madison, Sarah and Megan; his sister-in-law, Margaret Kadrich of Waukesha; and many other family and friends. Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Bev, his parents, and his sister, JoAnne Francis. A visitation for Jim will be from 9:00 AM until the 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, February 21, 2013, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186. The Reverend Howard Haase will be officiating the service. Burial with full Military Honors will immediately follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Waukesha.
