Obituary of Maxine A. Strong

Maxine A. Strong, of Waukesha, died on Sunday, February 10, 2013, at the age of 94 years. Maxine was born in Mt. Auburn, Iowa, on July 18, 1918, daughter of Harry and Anna Coats. She worked for Milwaukee Gas Specialty for almost 30 years. Maxine went on to work for GE for 10 years until her retirement in 1987. She enjoyed knitting and donating her hand made mittens to children in need. Maxine also enjoyed spending time with her family. Maxine will be dearly missed by her daughter, Carol "Drene" Briski; grandchildren, Suzanne (Daniel) Bowman and James Brueckner; great-granddaughters, Sarah and Rebecca Bowman; Maxine is further survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Strong Sr.; son, Theodore Strong Jr.;parents; sisters, Bessie Monsen, LaVonne Reynolds; and brother, Loyd Coats. The visitation for Maxine will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2013, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the 4:00 p.m. funeral service at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. Burial will be held at Arlington Park Cemetery, Greenfield, WI.
