Obituary of Gerald A. Toshner

Gerald A. Toshner, of Waukesha, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at the age of 88 years. He was born on May 2, 1924, in Fond du Lac, WI, the son of John and Theresa Toshner. Gerald was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran and served during World War II on the U.S.S. Carson City. He was a past member of St. William Catholic Church and worked for over 30 years at Waukesha Motor Company. Gerald was an avid deer hunter, enjoyed gardening, and he would make wine out of most anything he grew. Most of all, he loved going to Vegas and spending time with his family. Gerald will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Patrick (Jill) Wilcox, Bradley (Julie) Wilcox, and Nicole (Chuck) Zielke; great-grandchildren, Andy, Robby, Tanner, Josh, Maddie; his brother, Myron "Butch" (Liz) Toshner; special friend, Wilma Reed; other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Norma; son, Jon (in infancy), and daughter, Mary Bilke. The visitation for Gerald will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha, WI 53188. The Rev. Kevin Barnekow will be officiating. The burial will take place immediately following at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
