Obituary of Erwin L. Kallio

Erwin L. "Erv" Kallio, of Pewaukee, died peacefully surrounded by family, on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Kirkland Crossing at the age of 87 years. Erwin was born on May 28, 1925, the son of Matthew and Mae (Kertula) Kallio. He was married to his best friend and love of his life, Alice, for 64 glorious years. Alice preceded him in death on March 16, 2009. Erv was an active volunteer at Divine Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hartland. Erv will be deeply missed by his two sons, Howard (Ann) Kallio of Hartland, WI and Dave (Leslie) Kallio of Rhododendron, OR; grandchildren, Jeff (Emily), Adam (Jessica Benitez), Robin and Ian; great grandchildren, Natalie, Ethan and Saydee; other family members and many friends. Erv is preceded by his brother, Howard. The visitation for Erv will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 from 3:30 p.m. until the time of the 5:30 p.m. service at Divine Redeemer Lutheran Church, 31385 Hill Road, Hartland, WI 53029. The Pastor Jeffery S. Schubert will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the family to be designated to a charity at a later date or the charity of the donor's choice.
