Obituary of Lois B. Solberg

Lois B. Solberg, of Brookfield, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2013 at her home at the age of 83. She was born in Milwaukee, WI on September 2, 1929, the daughter of Merritt and Hattie (Doornink) Jensen. Lois was a longtime member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Waukesha, where she was a past choir member. She was united in marriage to Robert Solberg on August 11, 1951. Lois was a graduate of UW-Stout receiving her B.S. in Home Economics. She proudly served the Waukesha School systems for many years as a Teacher's Aide. Lois was a member of the Waukesha Home makers Club. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, reading books and completing crossword puzzles. Lois' greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and friends. Lois is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Robert "Bob"; children, Sandra Solberg, Alan (Susan) Solberg, and Lora (James) Prew; grandsons, Eric (Carly) Solberg and Ryan Solberg; brother, Donald (Carol) Jensen; and sister, Janet (Paul) Premo. Lois is further survived by her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. The visitation for Lois will be held from 10a.m. until the 12 p.m. Memorial service on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 424 Hyde Park Ave., Waukesha, WI 53188. The Rev. Andy Fetters will be officiating.
