Obituary of Raymond M. Stobba

Raymond M. Stobba, age 84 of Waukesha, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Raymond was born on September 6, 1928 in West Allis, Wisconsin the son of Raymond and Mary (Andrzejewski) Stobba. He attended Marquette High School where he graduated in 1946. Raymond then enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served his country from 1946 until 1948. He returned to Milwaukee, where he attended Marquette University earning a Bachelor of Buisness Administration Degree in 1952. On May 4, 1957 at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Milwaukee, Ray was united in marriage to the former Bernadine L. Steller. Raymond was employed for over 30 years with Schlitz Brewery in their Sales and Marketing Department and later with Miller Brands for 9 years retiring in 1992. They made their home in Brookfield, and later retired to Seven Lakes, North Carolina for 12 years before moving to Waukesha. Raymond was a member of St. William Catholic Church and the American Legion Post #0008 Waukesha. He was a past member of the Kiwanis Club and the Knights of Columbus. Raymond enjoyed golfing but most of all spending time with his family. Raymond is survived by his loving wife, Bernadine; two sons, Michael (Kathleen) Stobba of Pittsburgh, PA. and Greg (Marian) Stobba of Milwaukee and by one grandson, John Robert Stobba of Pittsburgh, PA. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Mary Louise (Norris) Zyniecki. The visitation for Raymond will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 4, 2013 at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, Wisconsin 53188. A second visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, August 5, 2013, at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. The Reverend Leonard Barbian will officiate. Entombment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, 7301 W. Nash Street, Milwaukee, at 12:30 p.m. (Please meet at the cemetery office). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association, 660 East Mason Street, Suite 200, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53202.
