Obituary of Barbara J. Megna

Barbara J. Megna of Waukesha was born to earthly life on September 20, 1932, and welcomed by hosts of angels to Heavenly life on August 11, with her loving family by her side at the age of 80 years. She was born in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Walter and Ann (nee Finger) Jahnke. Barb married William B. Megna on January 31, 1953. She was an active and longtime member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, where she was involved in the Lutheran Women's Missionary League, WINGS (Women in Gods Service). She also taught Sunday school for 19 years. Barb was also a member of the Lambda Phi Chi Sorority at UW Madison. Barb was the beloved wife of William "Bill" Megna for 60 years and his blessed love for five more. She was loved by her adoring sons, William (Brenda) Megna, David (Cindy) Megna, Jeffrey (Jeanne) Megna and daughter, Lynn (Richard) Haugen; Barb is the blessed grandmother of Eric (Mandy) Haugen, Andrew (Alicia) Haugen, Allison Haugen, Emily Megna and Erin Megna, Carolyn Megna, Bryant Megna; and the best pal of great-grandson, Caiden Megna, who will miss her greatly. She is further survived by brothers Richard (Louise) Jahnke, John (Eleanor)Jahnke and those relatives, friends, brothers, sisters in Christ also touched by her generous spirit and loving soul, will remember her fondly and are as numerous as the sands on the beach. Barb is preceded in death by her parents and a sister-in-law______. The family will greet people from10:00 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m. Celebration of Barb's life Service, on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 1205 S. East Ave. Waukesha, WI 53186. The Rev. Peter Schmidt will be officiating. Private burial took place at Prairie Home Cemetery.
