Obituary of Joan R. Baumhover

Joan Baumhover of Waukesha passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at Seasons Hospice at the age of 83 years. She was born in Waukesha on January 5, 1930 the daughter of Homer and LaVerne (nee Austin) Pearson. Joan had a green thumb and enjoyed growing African Violets; she was a former member of an African Violet Club. She will be remembered for her kind and gentle nature and big heart. She will be deeply missed by her children, Nancy (the late Will) Bowlin of Dade City, FL, Barbara Jones of Waukesha, Robert (Christina) Baumhover of Mukwonago and Carol (Dave) Schroeder of North Prairie; her grandchildren, David, Timothy, Adam, Rebecca, Sarah, Jessica, Doris, John, Marc, Jenny, Rachel, Ben, Katie, Nick and Tyler; 13 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Sandra Pearson. Joan is further survived by her beloved Schnauzer, Ava, who was the light of her life; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Robert Pearson and a grandson, Peter Towner. It was Joan's wish to be cremated and a private family gathering will be held. In lieu of flowers memorials in Joan's name to HAWS, 701 Northview Road, Waukesha, WI 53188 would be appreciated.
