Obituary of Joan H. Evans

Joan H. Evans, of Waukesha, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2013, at the age of 71 years. She was born in Waukesha on May 24, 1942, the daughter of Gwilym and Doris (Williams) Davies. Joan was a 1960 graduate of Waukesha High School. She attended Northwestern University where she earned a Registered Nursing Degree. Joan had been employed as a Registered Nurse at Waukesha Memorial Hospital and later at Froedtert Hospital. Joan is survived by her four loving children, Gregg (Lupe) Evans of Waukesha; Bryn (Chuck) Perry of Waukesha; Tim (Marcee) Evans of Moon, Pa. and Jason Evans of Cambridge, MA, six grandchildren, Jenna, Jocelyn, and Chaz Perry, Kylee, Aubree and Shea Evans. Also surviving are four sisters, Edy (Dick) Conway; Gen Hall, Evie (Bruce) Otto and Dottie (Jim) Watson. Joan is further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. A visitation for Joan will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. followed by a celebration of life service at 3:00 p.m.. The visitation and service will be held at the E.B. Shurts Building located at 810 W. College Avenue, Waukesha, WI. (Corner of College Ave. and Prairie Ave.). Pastor Jim Olia will officiate.
