Obituary of Calvin H. Mount jr

Calvin H. Mount Jr. of Waukesha, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2013 at AngelsGrace Hospice at the age of 73 years. He was born in Lackawanna, New York, the son of Calvin H. and Josephine (Walls) Mount Sr.. When Cal was three years old, the family moved to Southern California. Cal was a 1958 graduate of San Pedro High School. He had served his country in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Milwaukee. Cal was a self-employed carpenter where he had owned Mount Services and later Cal's Creative Carpentry. He was united in marriage to Lois Reed on May 5, 1990 at Wauwatosa Presbyterian Church. The couple made their home in Wauwatosa until 1996 when they moved to Waukesha. Cal was a devoted member of Southminster Presbyterian Church. Cal enjoyed wood carving, his flower garden, and fishing. He built furniture, cabinetry, doll houses, various wooden toys and recipe boxes for his family. Cal will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Lois, children, Christine (Kurt) Feierstein, Janet (Jim) Grochowski and Dianne (Dean) De Loach; five grandsons, Michael, Samuel and Joseph Feierstein, Andrew and Richard Stinson; great-grandson, Roman Feierstein; one sister, Starlene Mc Donald; step-children, Ken Reed and partner, Jim Bigger, Larry Reed, Lori Page and Paula (Joe) Perry; step-grandchildren, Hannah, Garrett, Lee, Luke, Lem, Lanae, Marie, Justin and special friend to Donna and Tyler. Cal is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin H. and Josephine Mount Sr. and by one brother, Hudson Mount. The visitation for Cal will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2013 from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. Memorial Service at Southminster Presbyterian Church, located at 200 Richard Street, Waukesha, Wisconsin 53189. The Rev. Dr. Christian Boyd will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Cal may be given to Southminster Presbyterian Church. (Please see address above).
