Obituary of Elaine M. Chamness

Elaine M. Chamness, of Waukesha, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Seasons Hospice surrounded by her loving family at the age of 89 years. She was born in Hayward, Wisconsin, the daughter of Carl and Victoria (Nee Maple) Nyback. Elaine and her husband Eugene, who passed away in 2009, were devoted to each other for 66 years. That devotion, along with never ending open-hearted sacrifices resulted in giving their five children wondrous and everlasting childhood memories. Her life was truly a labor of love. Elaine was a talented seamstress who worked tirelessly to clothe five children while working outside the home to help guarantee future financial security for her family. Over the years she created beautiful pieces that were knitted, crocheted or quilted, along with many needlework pieces. Her family now has the privilege of treasuring the many items created by her loving hands. Surviving Elaine are her children; Sharon (Edward) Frye of Linwood, N.C. Warren (Jacqui) Chamness of New Berlin, Ellen "Jane" Fulton of Waukesha, and Ronald (Cheryl) Chamness of San Antonio, TX, nine grandchildren; Jeffrey (Cheryl) Frye, Leslie Frye, Christopher (Kirsten) Chamness, Nicholas Chamness, Brian Fulton, Laura (Daniel) Landrum, Tai (Andrew) Pauls, Eric Stelske and Dana Stelske. Also surviving are eight great-grandchildren. Elaine is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband; Eugene Chamness, daughter; Linda in 1965, brother; Carl Nybeck and a son-in-law; Carl "Sam" Fulton. The visitation for Elaine will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until the 6:30 p.m. funeral service at Cesarz, Charapata, and Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha, Wisconsin 53188. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Elaine may be given to Seasons Hospice, 3217 Fiddlers Creek Drive, Waukesha, Wisconsin 53188 or to the American Cancer Society, N19 W24350 Riverwood Drive, Waukesha, Wisconsin 53188.
