Obituary of Frank L. Hofstetter

Frank "Buby" L. Hofstetter, longtime resident of Waukesha, died peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family at the age of 82 years. Buby proudly served in the U.S. Marines and was honorably discharged in February of 1954. He married his high school sweetheart, Shirley Rindahl on August 29, 1953. They started their family in Brookfield, moved to Waukesha and built their Harris Highland home. Buby was a self taught accordion player and had a local popular polka band called "Buby and His Music Makers" including his wife, her sister, brothers and uncle for 20 years. He inspired and instilled his love and joy of music for his kids, grandkids and all of the many friends that knew him. His music is woven into the fabric of his family and left a legacy that will never die. Frank "Buby" was a proud member of The Asbestos Workers Local Unions 19 and 127, Milwaukee, WI. He retired in the early 80's and shared his love of life with his family and many close and life long friends at Hofstetter Heaven, the family cottage, in Winneconne, WI. He loved his family, music, the cottage, boating, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, ice fishing, "putzing" in the shed as well as enjoyed all Packer and Milwaukee Brewers games. He was most happy when surrounded by his wife and family. "WHO HAS MORE FUN THAN PEOPLE?" Buby will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Shirley; dear children, Julie McIntyre, Doug (Jackie), Don (Jackie), Lori (Steve) Hill, Dale (Kim), David (Jean), Danny (Brenda) and Robbie (Kathy) McIntyre; his grandchildren, Ryan (Sarah), Michael (Anne), Erica (Sean), Fred, Stephen, Matthew (Coley), Nick (Kena), Mitchel (Emily), Lizzy, Charlie (Sarah), Emma, Karianne (Max), Kristy (Stephan), Joey, Kelly (Dave), Wendy (Ryder), Robbie (Kristin); nine great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
