Obituary of Alois N. Mondloch

Alois N. Mondloch, of Waukesha, died on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at home. Al was born on June 2, 1927 in Port Washington the son of Frank and Susan (Feider) Mondloch. He graduated from Port Washington High School in 1945 and then proudly served in the U.S. Navy. Al received a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Marquette University in 1949. He married Donna (Bell) on April 22, 1950 at St. Monica's Catholic Church in Whitefish Bay. His first job took them to Iron Mountain, MI to work for Perfex Corp. from 1953 - 1957. Al moved back to Waukesha when he became the plant manager for RTE Corporation in Waukesha from 1957 - 1986 when he retired. He was a member of the Triangle Fraternity (Engineering ) at Marquette and the PI TAU SIGMA - Honorary Mechanical Engineering Fraternity. Al and Donna were longtime members of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was a former Cub Scout and Boy Scout Leader and enjoyed golf, fishing, sailing, woodworking, stained glass, oil painting, lapidary and silver, building and masonry. Al will be deeply missed by his wife of 63 years, Donna; his children, Michael (Vicki M.D.) Mondloch of Waukesha, Thomas (Judy) Mondloch of Hingham, WI, Maria Gonzales (Dan Rieck) of Waukesha, Jane (J.R. ) Kraemer of Germantown, Rose (Pete) Lange of Waukesha; eighteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, brother-in-law, Ed DePreter of Shorewood, WI. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter, Sally Jane Mondloch in 1960 and his sisters, Esther (Chuck) Kudija, Viola (Paul) Maierle, Rosemary (Rex) Rexhausen and Alice DePreter. The visitation for Al will be held on Friday, November 29, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Avenue, Waukesha, Wisconsin 53186. The Rev. Howard Haase will be officiating. Interment with full military honors will immediately follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Waukesha. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Al are appreciated to Waukesha Catholic School System, 221 S. Hartwell Ave. Waukesha, WI 53186 or Catholic Memorial High School, 601 E. College Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186.
