Obituary of Martin D. Henry dr.

Dr. Martin Daniel Henry, beloved husband of forty years to Aimee Monteverde Henry and father of Donna (Will) Launer, Nicholas (Stephanie) Henry, Bryan Henry and 3 granddaughters Ashleigh, Veronica and Cami and 2 twin granddaughters due in March. Dan, the only son of Martin and Margaret Henry passed away early Thursday morning, January 16, 2014 after a battle with Kidney and Liver complications. Dan's life was spent pursuing service and education. After obtaining a Phd in Philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh and a Masters in Education from Duquesne University. his career path led him to University Administration at the University of Pittsburgh, Duquesne University, LaRoche College in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, Barry University in Miami FL and the University of Dayton in Ohio, there he obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.). He also served as President at Saint Leo College in Florida, and at Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania. After educational pursuits, his life of service drove him to take leadership roles for non-profit institutions in their development programs; which included the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, Rotary International, the American Cancer Society, and Muskego Senior Taxi Program. The family that survives him will remember him fondly as their rock, their protector, and their hero. He would do anything for his family and they will be eternally grateful to him for that. The visitation for Dan will be held at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, 16000 W National Ave, New Berlin, WI 53151 on Saturday January 18, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. until the 11:00am Memorial Mass in celebration of his life. The Rev. Donald Thimm will be officiating. In lieu of flowers and in accordance with Dan's devotion to Service, Education, and the Law, donations can be made to the Veterans Legal Support Center and Clinic at the John Marshall Law School (www.jmls.edu/veterans) or the Muskego Senior Taxi via mail at: W181 S8540 Lodge Blvd. Muskego, WI 53150.
