Obituary of Deborah J. Schwanz

Deborah J. Schwanz, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital, at the age of 59 years. Deb was born in Waukesha, Wisconsin on November 28, 1954, the daughter of Dale J. and Dorothy J. (Nee Smith) Dent. She was a 1973 graduate of Waukesha South High School. Deb married the love of her life Richard "Red" Schwanz on July 14, 1990 at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Mukwonago. She was currently employed as an Assistant Vice President in the Loan Compliance Department at First Bank Financial Center. Deb's passion was being involved in her community where she served in many organizations. She especially loved being involved in the Lions Club where she had served as the first female District Governor for District 27-A1. She was the recipient of the Lions International Presidential Award. Deb along with Red hosted students who attended the Lions Peace Camp. She loved to travel, boating, trips up north, canoeing, her pets, block parties and family camping trips. She also enjoyed meeting and getting to know others, but most of all Deb enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be forever remembered for her love of mankind and her generous heart. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband; Richard "Red", children; Brian Michael (Dana) Ward of Portland, OR, Diane Irene Ward and Kanoa Azinger of West Allis, WI, two grandchildren; Tallulah June and Hawthorne Arlen "Huck" Ward, parents; Dale J. and Dorothy J. Dent of Friendship, WI, two brothers; Duane (Barb) Dent of Wausau, WI, and Darrell (Nan) Dent of Mukwonago, WI and a sister; Donna Jones and Dale McMasters of Tennessee. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, and many relatives and special friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Forest Smith, Geneva (Ray) Bissonnette and Jesse (Anna) Dent. The visitation for Deb will take place on Friday, February 7, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until the 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service at Cesarz, Charapata, and Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha, Wisconsin 53188. The Rev. Keith Johnson will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Deb may be given to the Wisconsin Lions Camp, 3834 County Road A, Rosholt, Wisconsin 54473.
