Obituary of Blanche Zimpel

Blanche Zimpel of Waukesha died peacefully on Monday, February 03, 2014 at AngelsGrace Hospice at the age of 91 years. She was born on February 4, 1922 in Cayuga, WI, the daughter of Axel and Anna Ruberg. Blanche was a Teacher in the Elmbrook School District of Brookfield, WI for more than 30 years. After retiring she tutored children, was a member of the RSVP and was very involved in volunteering for the Civic Theater, Old World Wisconsin and Waukesha area civic organizations. She enjoyed playing bridge and spending time with family and friends. Blanche will be sadly missed by her children, John and Darlene; and her granddaughter, Angie. She is further survived by her brother, James (Rose) Ruberg; brother-in-law, Elmer Ignell. Blanche is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Alvin Ruberg; sisters, Romona Ignell and Vangi Keate. There will be a gathering of friends and family from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 Noon on Saturday, February 8, 2014 to celebrate Blanche's Life at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha, WI 53188. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Blanche's name to the Hebron House of Hospitality, Inc., 1601 E. Racine Ave. Ste. 103, Waukesha, WI 53186 are appreciated.
