Obituary of Harold L. Winters

Passed away on Monday, March 10, 2014, in Kiln, MS. He was part of the greatest generation. Harold was in the Air Force during WWII, was and amazing artist, sculptor, golfer and member of the VFW Troop 2880 of Diamondhead, MS. He worked forty two years at the Boston Store in Milwaukee, WI becoming Divisional Manager of Home Furnishings. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lorraine (nee Andersen) and survived by his present wife, Nancy (nee Waters); daughter Barbara (Jerry) Armstrong, son Gary (Judie) Winters; grandchildren, Chris (Tami) Armstrong, Debbie (Art) Childs, Erika (Chris) Winters-Downey, Kristin (Kevin) Winters-Mut and 8 great grandchildren, Jordan, Mason, Jack, Molly, Lucy, Jonathan, Creighton, and Connor. He is also survived by two step-children, Jeff (Elaine) Goedde and Scott (Donna) Goedde; his step-grandchildren, Samantha, Jonathan, Logan, Tyler, Kristen and Scott Jr. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Harold was a brother to many, since his mother fostered seventy six children. He lived a rich, full, joy filled life - loving Jesus to the very end. A Memorial service was held on Friday, March 14, 2014 at Diamondhead Community Church, 5301 Diamondhead Circle, Diamondhead, MS. Memorials may be made to Diamondhead Community Church or St. Joseph's Hospice of Biloxi, MS. A second visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service on Monday, March 17, 2014 at Cesarz, Charapata, Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. The interment will take place privately at Highland Memorial Park.
