Obituary of Gertrude E. Hart

Gertrude E. Hart, of Waukesha, passed away, Sunday, March 16, 2014 at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc, WI, at the age of 94 years. She was born in West New York, New Jersey, on November 8, 1919, the daughter of Eugene and Martha (Jachens) Heinsius. She was a graduate of Fort Lee High School in Fort Lee, New Jersey. Trudy was united in marriage to Samuel S. Hart on April 4, 1942. Trudy and Samuel made their home in Pearl River, New York where she was employed for nineteen years at Pearl River Hospital and later for twenty one years as a School Nurse with the Pearl River School District. Trudy had been a member of the Pearl River United Methodist Church before moving to Wisconsin. She enjoyed volunteering with the Interfaith Caregiving Network in their retired and senior RSVP Program and had attended senior classes at the Schuetze Recreation Center. Trudy enjoyed reading, Sodoku, bingo, playing the piano, and watching the Green Bay Packers. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family which was the most important thing in her life. Trudy is survived by her loving daughter, Marilyn I. (Bradley J.) Johnston of Pewaukee; grandchildren, Troy Bradley (Karen) Johnston, Timothy Scott Johnston, and Christina Elaine (Zach) Susic; great-grandchildren, Caitlyn R. Johnston, Paige A. Johnston, Tyler J. Susic, and Levi J. Susic. Trudy is further survived by a niece, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Martha Heinsius; husband, Samuel Hart; two brothers, Eugene and Pastor Herman Heinsius and one sister, Dorothy Heinsius. The visitation for Trudy will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014, from 2:00 p.m. until the 4:00 p.m. Funeral Service at Cesarz, Charapata and Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N.
