Obituary of Darlene V. Graf

Darlene V. Graf of Waukesha passed away on Friday, March 21, 2014, peacefully at AngelsGrace Hospice at the age of 73 years. She was born on July 21, 1940, in Watertown, WI the daughter of Rudolph and Selma (nee Kohlohoff) Degner. She married John C. Graf III on August 12, 1961. Darlene has been an active longtime member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church; she was in the Adult and Reflections Choirs and an officer in the Women's Guild. She was also involved in AFS, 4-H and the Home Makers Club. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Darlene loved Angels, due to a near death experience; she felt "Angels would take her soul to Heaven". Darlene will be sadly missed by her children, Wendy (Russ) Wilke M.D. of Fargo, ND and John C. (Wendy) Graf IV of East Troy; her grandchildren, Warren, Reid, Hope, John V, Luke and Ginger. She is further survived by her sisters, Elaine Stark of Zion, IL and Margaret (Allan) Schubring of Lake in the Hills, IL; sister-in-law Eldonna Degner of Milwaukee; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, John C. Graf III; granddaughter, Livvie Graf; brothers, Orville and Vernon Degner and sisters, Marian Huebner and Dorothy Stark. The visitation for Darlene will be held from 5:00 PM until the time of the 7:00 PM Funeral Service on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Mount Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1941 Madison St. Waukesha, WI 53188. The burial will take place Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Prairie Home Cemetery, 605 S. Prairie Ave, Waukesha, WI 53197 (Please meet inside gates off of Prairie Home Ave).
