Obituary of Lester E. Lagon

Lester E. Lagon of Waukesha, WI passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at his home at the age of 97 years. He was born on November 23, 1916, in Burlington, WI, the son of Samuel and Alice (nee Smith) Lagon. Lester married the love of his life, Mary Malagian on June 18, 1938. He was a long time employee of Waukesha Engine Works and a longtime member of First United Methodist Church. Lester enjoyed being a part of the Waukesha Motor's Old Timers Club. Lester will be sadly missed by his son, Gary (Phyllis Taylor) Lagon of Egg Harbor, WI; grandchildren, Lonna (Ronald) Hannan and Leslie Winter; great-grandchildren, Tessa, Paige, Jeffrey and Ivy. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. Lester is preceded in death by his wife, Mary. A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the 1:00 p.m. funeral service on Thursday, May 8, 2014, at Prairie Home Cemetery Chapel, 605 S. Prairie Ave. Waukesha, WI 53187. A private entombment will take place after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials in honor of Lester may be directed to First United Methodist Church, 121 Wisconsin Ave. Waukesha, WI 53186.
