Obituary of Arthur J. Wuebben

Of Mukwonago went to join his dear wife in heaven on Thursday, April 24, 2014, at the age of 94 years. He was born May 13, 1919, in Hancock, MI, the son of Walter and Anna (nee Brandenstein) Wuebben. Art received his BSEE from Michigan Technological University along with a commission as 2nd Lieutenant in the Army in 1942, and left to serve his country in WWII. Upon his return almost four years later, Art began working as an Engineer at Allis Chalmers, West Allis, where he remained for over 35 years. It was there he met his wife, Theodosia Dinos. They were married on November 28, 1953. Art was an active member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church where he held many positions over the years. He enjoyed spending time with family and was always ready to help out; with his many talents, he could fix almost anything! Art maintained his home orchard for many years and was known for sharing his apples. Other interests included gardening, reading and woodworking—his specialty was making clocks. Art will be sadly missed by his three children, Andrea ( Dennis) Grasmick of Chaska, MN, Carolyn Clauter of Brookfield, WI, and David (the late Lauri) Wuebben of Hortonville, WI; grandchildren Andrew (Emily) Grasmick, Gabrielle (Justin) Gooch, Timothy Wuebben, Michael and Adam Clauter; great-grandson Emmett Grasmick; his sister, Annetta (the late Thomas) Scott. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Theo; sisters Rebecca Chinnery and Ruth Wuebben. The visitation for Art will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the 11:00A.M. Funeral Service on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 1205 S. East Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186. The Rev. Peter A. Schmidt will be officiating. The burial will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church or the charity of your choice. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Applewood Senior Living Staff for their loving care and concern for Art.
