Obituary of Constance R. Falk
Constance "Connie" R. Falk, Of Waukesha, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2014, peacefully at Waukesha Springs at the age of 85. She was born on October 30, 1928 in Manitowoc, WI, the daughter of Daniel and Ruth (Nee Lanlois) Crooks. She married William R. Falk on February 26, 1949 in Manitowoc, WI. Connie became the first female sports reporter for the Manitowoc Herald and worked for the YWCA as Director of Internal Affairs. At the Door County Farmers Market, she sold Barbie clothes that she had sewn and was known as the "Barbie Lady". Connie loved to cook, sew, play bridge, and was involved in Waukesha and Sturgeon Bay Bridge Clubs.
She will be dearly missed by her children, Randy (Korinne) Falk of Waukesha, Andrea (Douglas) Kiesling of Richfield and Rebecca Falk of Milwaukee; grandchildren, Lisa, Kristen, Tim, Whitney, Matt, Taylor and Nicole; great-grandchildren, Lazaro, Leticia, Nelida, Adrian, Anavae, baby Jessie Mason and Grant; sisters, Janice Conway of Waukesha and Patricia Krause of Manitowoc; and many other loving relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, William R. Falk; and brother, Daniel Crooks.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
