Obituary of Evelyn L. Follien

Evelyn L. "Eve" Follien, of Waukesha, passed away peacefully at LindenGrove on Monday, August 18, 2014 at the age of 100 years. She was born in Stanley, WI on December 30, 1913, the daughter of Norman and Ida (nee Peterson) Dahl. Eve married her high school sweetheart, George Follien, on August 19, 1967. She received her associate's degree and worked as a secretary. Eve was a peaceful woman and loved her Lord. She was a long time member of Faith Baptist Church and enjoyed listening to Christian music. Eve also had a strong passion for gardening and liked to collect stamps. Eve will be deeply missed by her sisters, Elaine Mortenson of Elroy, WI and Mildred Simenson of Stanley and brother Rodger (Betty) Dahl of Eau Claire. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband George Follien; parents; sisters, Nora (Olaf) Olsen and Viola (Chester) Carlsen; brother Lawrence "Larry" Dahl and first husband, Jesse D. Green. The visitation for Eve will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the 2:00 p.m. funeral service on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Plombon Funeral Home, 502 N. Broadway, Stanley, WI 54768. The Rev. Doug Richards will be officiating.
