Obituary of Walter L. Kolb

Walter L. Kolb of Waukesha passed away on Monday, September 22, 2014 with his loving family by his side at St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee at the age of 73 years. He was born on May 6, 1941, in New York, NY, the son of Ludwig and Marianne Kolb. Walter was an Inventor Extraordinaire and a Business Entrepreneur. Walter bought Wisconsin Ear Mold Company in Wauwatosa, WI in 1966; this became a family business, his wife, Anita and son, Robert worked closely with him. In 1967 Walter invented the Audio Clarifier, which revolutionized TV and Broadcasting. Walter moved to Waukesha in 1984 where he joined the political arena and has been a County Supervisor for the past 22 years. He was very active in the Town of Waukesha's politics. In Walter's free time he enjoyed being at home with his family. Walter will be sadly missed by his wife, Anita; son, Robert Ludwig Kolb; step-daughter, Stacey (Marcus) Skildum; granddaughter, Michelle L. Kolb. He is further survived by his Audio Implements Family; other relatives and many friends. Walter is preceded in death by his parents. The family would like to say a special thank you to the ICU staff at St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee. The visitation for Walter will be held from 2:30 p.m. until the time of the 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha, WI 53188. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Walter's name to a charity of the donor's choice are appreciated.
