Obituary of Roger E. Anderson

Roger E. Anderson of Waukesha, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at the age of 83 years. He was born on August 24, 1931 in Holdrege, Nebraska, the son of Maynard and Ethelyn Anderson. Roger was a graduate of the University of Nebraska, earning Bachelor's degrees in education and engineering. He proudly served his country during the Korean War. For 32 years, Roger was an employee of the Wisconsin Electric Power Company. Roger was an active member of the community and was the Chair of the United Way Campaign of Waukesha County in 1992 and 1993. Roger was a member on the Family Service Board, Mental Health Board and the Fox River Development Committee. He was also a member of the Noon Rotary Club, the Finer Waukesha Committee and a charter member of the Waukesha Choral Union. Roger enjoyed spending time at his cottage in Lakewood, Wisconsin. He also loved music, traveling, the theatre and ballet. He had quite a sweet tooth, but had a special love for chocolate. Most of all, Roger loved spending as much time as he could with his family, especially his grandchildren, who knew him as "GP". Roger will be deeply missed by his wife, Nancy; children, Ellen (Tim) Ronzia of Crystal Lake, IL, Beth (Ken) Koeritzer of Damascus, MD and Susan Anderson Johnston of Madison, WI; grandchildren, Julianne, Lauren, Mitchell, Drew, Erin and Paul; brother Dale (Louise) of Buffalo, WY. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The visitation for Roger will be held on Monday, December 29, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m. memorial service at First Presbyterian Church, 810 N. East Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186.
