Obituary of Carol J. Banks

Carol J. Banks of New Berlin passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 with her loving family at her side at the age of 75 years. She was born on September 14, 1939, in Waukesha, WI, the daughter of Rudolph and Marion Schiller. Carol married Raymond Banks on June 15, 1956. She has been a faithful member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church and was active in different groups at the church. Carol would winter in Georgia and Florida, and she loved to travel with her husband around the world. Carol will be sadly missed by her husband, Ray of 58 years; her children, Raymond Banks of Waukesha, Cheri (Jon) Blakeman of Madison and Chris (DeEtte) Banks of IN; grandchildren, Eric Banks, Becky Shipley, Jerry and Brian (Carla) Blakeman and Randy and Matthew Banks; great-grandchildren, Jude, Alice and Rudolph Shipley, Brandon and Elena Blakeman. She is further survived by her brother, Rudy (Marti) Schiller of Lodi, WI; sister, Rita (Gus) Wendt of Waukesha; sisters-in-law, Sue Schiller of Seattle, WA and Wendy (Paul) Whittaker of Green Lake, WI; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Carol is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Mike and Fred Schiller. The visitation for Carol will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, January 2, 2015 at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha, WI 53188. A second visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 3rd from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m. Celebration of Life at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 424 Hyde Ave. Waukesha, WI 53188. Rev. D. Andrew Fetters will be officiating. A natural burial will take place at Prairie Home Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. (please meet inside the gates off Prairie Ave.) In lieu of flowers, memorials in Carol's name to St. Mark's Church appreciated (see address above).
