Obituary of John F. Connors Jr.

John F. Connors Jr. passed away on December 20th, 2023, at the age of 93. John was born in Sheboygan on June 6, 1930, and spent his youth and growing years in Beloit. After graduating from Beloit High School, John enlisted in the Air Force and served in Korea during the Korean War. When he returned, he met the love of his life Margaret Casey of Janesville, WI.
They were married on October 1, 1955 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Janesville, WI. John and Margaret built a house in Waukesha to raise their four children; Karen, John, Kathleen, and Patrick. John enjoyed gardening, cooking, and reading as he was a lifelong learner. He also enjoyed sports, both as a fan and a participant. He was a youth boys basketball coach at St. William’s School for several years.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years Margaret, his parents John F. and Berenice (nee Fabiszak) Connors, his brother Mike Connors and sister-in-law Rose, his brother-in-law James Hull, his niece Leslie Ann Connors-Yelick, his nephew Matthew Hull, and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and friends.
He is survived by his daughter Karen (Jon) Hillier, his son John (Diana) Connors, his daughter Kathleen Connors, his son Patrick (Beena) Connors; his grandchildren Sarah (Scot) Ackley, John Michael (Jessica) Connors, Christine (Josh) Pietryga, and Alison (Ben) Speth. He is further survived by his great-grandchildren: Jordan Ackley, Noelle Pietryga, Landen and Maverick Speth; and his sister-in-law Catherine Hull. John will be dearly missed by all his family and friends who knew and loved him.

The visitation for John will be held on Monday, January 8th, 2024 from 10:30 am until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be donated to the charity of the donor’s choice
