Obituary of Violet Tremaine

Violet B. Tremaine of Pewaukee peacefully passed away on October 6, 2023, at the remarkable age of 100. She was the beloved daughter of Ferdinand and Esther Behling (nee Sieger). Born on February 1, 1923, in Lake Mills, WI. Violet was a devoted member of Galilee Lutheran Church for an impressive 64 years. Her dedication to the church was evident through her active participation in the Sunday School and her involvement in quilting for Lutheran Relief, where her talents and generosity made a lasting impact.

In addition to her church activities, Violet was a dedicated volunteer for many years at the Lutheran Homes of Oconomowoc and Shorehaven, where she selflessly gave her time and care to those in need. Violet B. Tremaine will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched through her many years of dedicated service and her warm, compassionate spirit. Violet's family was a source of great joy and pride in her life, and her legacy of love and caring will continue through her descendants.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children; Diane (Ray) Footland, James (Karen) Tremaine, Larry (Leah) Tremaine, Gene (Coleen) Tremaine, Dawn (Jeff) Baumgarter, Grandchildren: Thomas, Maria, Larry, Rhonda, Tracy, Jennifer, Jamie, Laura, Stefanie, Jason, Matthew, Lindsey, Sage, Justin, Adam, and Sean. In addition to her grandchildren, she is also survived by her great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.

She was proceeded in death by her loving husband of 70 years, Maurice, parents, and brother Stanley.

The visitation to honor Violet's life will be held on Thursday, October 19th at Galilee Church, N24W26430 Crestview Dr., Pewaukee, WI with friends and family gathering from 10:00 a.m. until the start of service at 11:30 a.m. A private burial with family will take place at Lisbon Merton Cemetery on Friday.

Cesarz Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home has been entrusted to serve the family during this difficult time, providing support and guidance as they remember and celebrate Violet's long and well-lived life. Memorials in her name may be offered to Galilee Lutheran Church.
