Obituary of Carol J Rolfe

Carol J. Rolfe, a beloved resident of North Prairie, peacefully passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at Waterford Senior Living, surrounded by her loved ones and cared for by Pro Health Hospice. She was 92 years old.

Born on April 8, 1931, to the proud parents Frank and Lois (nee Kling) Brunner, Carol had a remarkable journey through life, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew her. After graduating from Waukesha High School in 1948, she embarked on a journey of love when she married the late Lyle Rolfe on November 27, 1948, and together they shared 50 beautiful years of marriage.

Throughout her life, Carol was an integral part of her community. For an astounding Fifty years, she proudly served as the Avon Lady for North Prairie, touching the lives of countless neighbors with her warmth and friendly smile. Additionally, she lent her talents and expertise to Waukesha County Technical College, where she worked in the registrar's office, leaving a positive impact on students and colleagues alike.

Carol and Lyle were not just bound to their home state of Wisconsin; they also shared a love of travel and adventure. Many winters were spent in the warm embrace of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, while summers were devoted to the serene beauty of Lake Arrowhead in Adams Co. Together they explored new horizons, making unforgettable memories as they journeyed with their family.
Some of the highlights of Carol's life were memorable trips to Spain, Italy, and England, which she embarked on with her daughters and granddaughter. The bond she shared with her family was a source of immense joy and pride.

Carol is survived by her loving children; Chris (Rob) Klussendorf of Medford, Debby (Steve) Rudolph of Silver Lake, Jeff (Jan) Rolfe of Fond Du Lac, Becky Grimm of Mukwonago, Doug (Brenda) Rolfe of Hilton Head S.C.
Her Grandchildren; Erica (Roy) Spatz, Jessica Rolfe, John (Lisa) Rolfe, Ryan (Cheri) Klussendorf, Shaun (Taryn) Porter, Tanya (Dave) Scola, Michael Porter, Alexandra Stone, Bryant Rolfe, Badlyn (Shelby) Rolfe. And her Great Grandchildren; Addison and Asher Spatz, Josie, John Jr. and Lyla Rolfe, Kale, Owen and Max Klussendorf, Madalyn and Nora Porter, Emily Ferguson, Jaxson and Tatum Scola, Amelia Porter.
Carol was preceded in death by her brother, Jim Brunner, and son-in-law, Ralph Grimm.

As per Carol's wishes, services will be held privately, with family gathering to celebrate her life and bid her a loving farewell. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to North Prairie Historical Society, or a charity of your choosing in Carol's name.

Carol J. Rolfe will forever be remembered for her unwavering love and warm heart. May she rest in eternal peace, knowing she made the world a better place and touched so many lives with her presence.
