Obituary of Arlene K. Burke

Arlene K. Burke (nee. Konrath) of Milwaukee and Waukesha passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, June 3, 2023. Arlene was born in Milwaukee, WI in 1930. She attended Messmer High School and Alverno College. She became a member of the School Sisters of St. Francis. While affiliated with the order, she received certification to become a nurse anesthetist. She worked for several years at Elmbrook Memorial Hospital.

Arlene is survived by her children Timothy (Maureen), Kevin, Mary (Mike) Ryan, William, Robert, Anne Marie (Chris) Grounds, and Daniel (Nicole). She is further survived by her sister, Mary Ellen, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends. Arlene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, J. Larry Burke, and brothers: LeRoy & Gerald Konrath.

A visitation for Arlene will be on Friday, June 16, 2023 from 9-11:00 a.m. at St. William Catholic Church (444 N. Moreland Boulevard, Waukesha, WI 53188). A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m. Arlene will then be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery.
