Obituary of Elaine M Ewing

Elaine M. Ewing passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family in Oconomowoc on Tuesday March 14, 2023, at the age of 92. She was born to her parents Joseph and Clara Zanon in Bessemer Michigan on September 12, 1930. Elaine attended and graduated from Bessemer High School in Michigan. After high school she married William Sharpless in 1952. During their time together they had two children and resided in California and Michigan. After a few years in Michigan, she moved to Wisconsin and met and married the love of her life William Ewing and they had 5 boys. For many years she was a faithful member at St. William Catholic Church in Waukesha. Elaine resided at Willow Park for 25 years where she helped serve meals. For the last five years she resided at Wilkinson Woods Assisted living in Oconomowoc where she was taken care of by their loving caring staff.

Elaine is going to truly be missed by her loving children; Lynette ( Tom) Neveln, Jim ( Marcia Peller) Sharpless, Jeffrey ( Mary) Ewing, Stuart ( Lissa) Ewing, Glenn ( Kim) Ewing, Randy Ewing, Douglas ( Peggy) Ewing, grandchildren; Andy (Kelsey) Neveln, Dan Neveln, Kayla Ewing, Emma Ewing, Jeremy Ewing, Justin Ewing, Kevin ( Maria) Kolesari, Erich (Olivia) Ewing, Kendall Ewing, Kennedy Ewing, Zakary Huebner, Samantha Camacho,  Freya Lapp, Megan Ewing, great grandchildren; Brooklyn Neveln, Tyler Neveln, Izaiah Camacho, Elijah Camacho, Jack Kolesari. She will greatly be missed by a host of nieces, nephew, friends, and family members. She was preceded in death by her loving husband William, parents, Joseph and Clara, brother Leonard (Marge) Zanon, sister Edith (Gerald) Gossen nephew Christopher Gossen, daughter in law Dawn Ewing.

The visitation for Elaine will be held on Thursday March 23, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the Christian Mass at 12:00 noon at St. William Catholic church 440 N Moreland Blvd Waukesha, WI 53188 with a burial to follow at Wales Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated to St. Jude’s or Children Hospital.
