Obituary of Gordon R Buntrock

Gordon R. Buntrock, age 83, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2021 at LindenGrove in Waukesha, Wisconsin from Parkinson’s disease. He was born on August 4, 1938 to Albert Buntrock, Jr. and Elizabeth Buntrock (nee Folkman) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Gordon (Gordy) grew up in Waukesha, Wisconsin and graduated from Waukesha High School in 1956. He worked for Golden Guernsey Dairy, School Equipment Consultants, and Sprinkmann Sons Corporation.  He was drafted into the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict and served in France.  He loved traveling and visited almost every state in the US along with France, Germany, and Canada.  He enjoyed “shooting skip” on his CB radio and watching Waukesha Common Council and Plan Commission meetings with Karen, his wife of 56 years.  Gordon collected toy tractors as a hobby, having worked on a farm during high school and belonging to the Future Farmers of America (FFA). A favorite pastime was washing and polishing his Ford F-150 trucks, and they all had to be red!

Gordon will be deeply missed by his loving children Kari McDonnell (Robert), William (Jennifer), Kendra Barberena (Manuel), grandchildren Matthew (Allie), Brandon (Jasmine Schofield), Megan (Joseph Schobert), Ashley (Joshua Dale), Amanda, Owen, Allison, and his great-grandchildren Myles, Simon, and Charlotte. He is preceded in death by his wife Karen (nee Brunner) and daughter Lori.

A private burial will take place at Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
