Obituary of Doloris P. Grabo

Doloris Pauline (nee Dallgas) Grabo died peacefully at home surrounded by family on Mon. July 20, 2020; she was 92. Doloris, also Oma to her grandchildren, was born in Milwaukee on Oct. 21st 1927 to Max and Friedel (nee Kleinschmidt) Dallgas. She married Bruce William Grabo on June 16th, 1956 at St. Thomas Evangelical Lutheran Church in Milwaukee.

As a young woman, her interests were modeling and dancing. She enjoyed working at Briggs and Stratton in Milwaukee, McCoys/Johnson Hills Dept. Store in Waukesha, and the Sugarplum Shop in Brookfield.

Doloris is best known as a loving and caring mother to her four children, and then grandmother (Oma) of three. She was a proud member of the Evangelical and Reformed Church in Waukesha and the Wesleyan Methodist Church in New Berlin where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, and served on many committees.

Doloris is survived by her sons, Jeff (Ellen) and Scott Grabo; and grandchildren, Markelle Grabo, Jeffrey Grabo and Joseph Grabo.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Friedel (nee Kleinschmidt) Dallgas; her brother Rolf Dallgas; husband Bruce; and her daughters, Kimberly Jane Grabo and Christine Marie Grabo.

The visitation for Doloris will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2020 from 2:00pm until the time of the service at 3:00pm at Cesarz, Charapata, and Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha, WI 53188.
